Hosanna !

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!

We have blessed You from the house of the Lord.

 Psalm 118:26

Today's Bible Reading: Matthew 21:1-11.

Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter that begins the Holy Week. It is the day that we remember and celebrate the Lord Jesus entered Jerusalem as Saviour and King. As He rode a donkey into the city of Jerusalem, a large crowd gathered and laid palm branches and their clocks across the road, giving Jesus royal treatment. The hundreds of people shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!" (v 9).

These Bible verses about Palm Sunday - both prophecy and the actual event, will encourage you and inspire you to live with Jesus as the King of your life!

They took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ The King of Israel!” (John 12:13).

And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?” So the multitudes said, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.” (Matthew 21:10-11).

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.” ( Zechariah 9:9).

Prayer:Merciful God, as we enter Holy week, turn my hearts again to Jerusalem, and to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Stir up within me the gift of faith that

I may not only praise Him with my lips, but may follow Him in the way of the cross. In His precious name, I pray. Amen.
