Life's Questions

Fear God and keep His commandments,For this is man’s all.

 Ecclesiastes 12:13

Many people wrongly think that science and religion are opposed to each other. They think that the two cannot go together, sit together or work together. But, people who think that are very wrong. Some of the greatest scientists throughout history have been Christians. For example, Robert Boyle, he is considered one of the most important figures in the history of Chemistry. Isaac Barrow, English theologian, scientist, and mathematician. Werner Heisenberg, One of the primary creators of quantum mechanics. Formulated the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. These are but a very few, but have been many scientists who have been Christians. Science and religion are not hostile or opposed to each other—not if they are properly understood. In fact, when I ministered in Oxfordshire, I was privileged over the years to know a number of highly respected scientists and researchers who were also deeply committed to Jesus Christ. They knew that while science can help us understand the physical world, it will never be able to answer life’s deepest questions: Who are we? Why are we here? Where are we going? How should we live? Only God can answer these questions, and He has answered them in the Bible.
