A Simple Message

As the Father loved Me,

I also have loved you; abide in My love.

 John 15:9

Today's Bible Reading: John 15:1-10.

The great Swiss theologian, Dr. Karl Barth, was probably in his generation the greatest theologian in the world, and a great philosopher as well. One time, Whilst he was visiting a Bible College in America, a student asked, during a question and answer session, “Dr. Barth, what is the greatest truth that ever crossed your mind?” All the students were sitting on the edge of their seats to hear some great, profound, deep, complicated answer. After thinking for a while, Dr. Barth slowly raised his head and looked at the student and said, “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.”

What a wonderful truth that is!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for that wonderful truth, that You love me, and gave Your Son, Jesus, for me. Thank You, for the depths of Your love that drew that plan of salvation. In Christ's name. Amen.
